Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
This is to confirm my phone call on July 3, 1974 to Mr. John Hannon to report Abnormal Occurrence 74-13 at Ginna Station.

- cJacslay, July 3,1974 : "calth Phy:iciet netie:d 7:per in the charging pump room. Further investigation found the vapor to'be ccming from a leak in the veld that connects the 3/4" vent valve nipple to the 3"' weld-o-let on the charging pump filter bypass line.
The PORC met and recommended that the plant be brought to a cold shutdown condition to make repairs. It was also recommended that the NSARE review the.two 3/4" vent piping weld leaks. The unit was taken off the line at 1700 on July 3,1974.
