This revision was processed to incorporate final NRC comments contained in the staff's SER as well as transfer the program document to a Monticello controlled document.
This document was previously issued as a manual from our corporate office with title; "Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant, inservice Testing Program, ASME Code Section XI" (MNGP IST Manual). The IST program document has been transferred to a manual, containing a series of procedures categorized as Engineering Work Instructions, under the control of Monticello Site Document Control The IST program previously contained in the MNGP IST Manual has been transferred to Engineering Work Instruction (EWI) EWi-09.04.01,
" Inservice Testing Program."
By Monticello document control manifest dated May 18,1995, the revision to the Monticello IST Program Document issuing EWl-09.04.01 to supersede the MNGP IST Manual was transmitted to you. An error occurred in the transmittal of this manifest in that the proper instructions for superseding the MNGP IST Manual and issuing the EWI were not included.
The following instructions should be followed.
The pages contained in the superseded MNGP IST Manual are to be destroyed as well as the binder spine and cover insert sheets.
The purple binder spine and cover inserts, enclosed with this letter, should be inserted into the three ring binder which remains after deletion of the superseded MNGP IST Manual contents.
The index of the Engineering Work Instructions (EWis) and EWi-09.04.01, " Inservice Testing Program" transmitted via the document control manifest dated May 18,1995 are to be inserted into the three ring binder with the new purple binder spine and cover inserts.
