Subject:

LaSalle County Station Units 1 Order Confirming Licensee Commitments on Emergency Response Capability NRC Docket No. 50-373 Reference (a):

A.

Schwencer letter to D.

L. Farrar dated February 21, 1984.

Dear Mr. Denton:

This letter acknowledges receipt of the order confirming Licensee Commitments on Emergency Response Capability dated February 21, 1984.

It is our understanding that this letter confirms Commonwealth Edison commitments applicable to LaSalle County Station (LSCS) Unit 1 as detailed in letters from Cordell Reed to H. R. Denton dated December 29, 1983, December 6, 1983, November 15, 1983, August 25, 1983, July 28, 1983, and April 14 1983 and a July 20, 1983, letter from E. D.

Swartz to H. R. Denton.

A minor wording discrepancy between Commonwealth Edison Company letter dated Deccmber 6, 1983 and Reference (a) is noteworthy.

Commonwealth 2dison commitment for-Reference (a) Item 3.b is to submit a final report including a schedule for installation (assumes NRC acceptance of DCRDR results within 3 months of submittal date of DCRDR summary report for the station) by August 1, 1986.

This wording is also j

included in Attachment 2 to LSCS Unit 2 Operating License NPF-18.

We assume this detail and others provided in the submittals above are still appropriate and assimilated into your abbreviated letter Reference (a).

If you have any further questions regarding this matter, please contact this office.

One signed original and forty (40) copies of this letter are attached for your use.

Very truly yours, e405010332 840423 (9n yviM PDR ADOCK 05000373 p
