b April 4, 1984 James G Keppler, Administrator Region III US Nuclear Regulatory Commission 799 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 DOCKET 50-255 - LICENSE DPR PALISADES PLANT - REVISED DISTRIBUTION SCHEDULE FOR EMERGENCY PUBLIC INFORMATION BOOKLET During a telephone conversation on March 15, 1984 between Mr Phillip Loomis of Consumers Power Company and Mr Monte Phillips of your staff, Mr Loomis communicated Consumers Power Companys-desire to change the distribution date of the Palisades Emergency Public Information Booklet to June from February of

'each year. This letter documents that conversation and requests authorization to distribute the booklet during June 1984 and annually in June thereafter.

Because the area around the Palisades Plant has a significant number of summer only. residents, Consumers Power Compan, has determined that changing the booklet's annual distribution date to June will result in its reaching a greater proportion of the total adult population present within the plant's EPZ during the summer months.

The current distribution schedule is based on an agreement reached between Consumets Power Company and the NRC Staff on October 1,1981. That agreement is documented in an NRC Confirmation of Action letter dated October 7, 1981.
