In letter dated August 3, 1982, Alabama Power Company committed to provide the NRC by February 1,1983 the status of a review of the available reactor vessel level systems.
This review will include evaluation of NUREG-0737 provisions, compatability with existing plant systems, lead times, outage schedules, feasibility, etc.
Subsequent to that commitment, the NRC issued Generic Letter No. 82-28, Inadequate Core Cooling Instrumentation System, which requests Alabama Power Company to submit by March 10, 1983 the status of the Farley Nuclear Plant design and implementa-tion regarding reactor vessel level system and a status of the l
conformance of inadequate core cooling instrumentation components l
with NUREG-0737, Item II.F.2.
l As the Generic Letter No. 82-28 requests information addressed in the Alabama Power Company review of available reactor vessel level systems and additional information outside the scope of this I
l review, Alabama Power c'ompany will submit to the NRC the results of l
this re.iew in accordance with.he schedule provided in Generic Letter No. 8L 28.
