17120 SUDJECT: Archaeological Survey, Transmission Lines Associated With Limerick Generating Station

Dear.Ms. Williams:

Enclosed for your review are reports prepared by John Milner Associates regarding the Archaeological investigation of the 220-60 and 220-61 transmission linou associated with Limerick Generating Station. Having been deeply involved with the archaeological work on these lines since September,1982, I fool confident that all prehistoric cultural resources have been properly dealt with and that the subject reports will meet with your approval.

You will note that elements such as settlement patterning, site function, lithic material distribution etc. are not for the most part, addressed in the reports.

It was felt that such interpretations, and others, could be dealt with in a much more thorough manner when research, field, laboratory and informant data from all four transmission lines are available and assimilated. A detailed analysis of all such data will then be made and a separate archaeological report will be prepared which will present a Middle Schuylkill River Valley cultural synthesis.

Copies of the enclosed reports, containing original photographs, have been forwarded

o Mr. B. Kent, State Archaeologist, for permanent filing following his review of same.

I would like to thank you, once again, for your full cooperation throughout this project. Please feel free to contact me regarding any questions you might have with respect to the enclosed reports or other aspects of the investigation.

Yours very truly, W. C. f WCPalb
