LILCO'S PRELIMINARY RESPONSE TO SUFFOLK COUNTY REQUEST FOR BOARD RECONSIDERATION OF EMERGENCY PLANNIhG SCHEDULE LILCO has received Suffolk County's December 28, 1983 Request for Board Reconsideration of Emergency Planning Schedule.
LILCO is giving prompt consideration to it and will send a prelim-inary response concerning it to the County later today.
LILCO believes that a conference with the Board may turn out to be war-ranted, and that if one is held it should take place relatively soon.
However, it seems to LILCO that the parties.should have some opportunity to discuss the matters raised by the County with each other before involving the Board.
Accordingly, LILCO recom-mends that if the Board sees value in scheduling a conference, it set it for Friday afternoon, December 30 or other time convenient for it.
