S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION 799 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, I.'linois 60137
Dear Mr. Keppler:
DOCKET NOS. 50-266 AND 50-301 FINAL RESPONSE TO IE BULLETIN 79-14 POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 IE Bulletin 79-14 required licensees to verify that the as-built safety-related piping systems conformed to the as-designed seismic analysis.
This letter is our thirteenth submittal regarding IE Bulletin 79-14 and is intended to be our final response.
A total of 1,043 mechanical corrections were made to Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, to comply with the Bulletin.
The last mechanical correction for each unit which required welding to the residual heat removal piping was installed during each unit's outage in 1983.
As such, no additional analyses or hardware modifi-cations are required.
All isometric drawings affected by the mechanical corrections have been revised and reissued showing the as-built configuration of the piping systems.
Records of the calculations have been retained for use in any piping analyses required by future plant or system modifications.
Wisconsin Electric believes that all activities required by IE Bulletin 79-14 have been completed.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact us.
Very truly yours, N
/
