Dear Mr. Denton:

The Long Island Lighting Company hereby submits ten (10) copies of Revision 3 to the Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (ODCM). For convenience, the entire ODCM was reprinted and is enclosed with the revised pages incorporated.

Revisions are indicated by change bars in the page margin.

This revision addresses questions expressed by members of your staff and completes our response to all concerns identified to date. The following significant items are included in this revision:

(1) The upper range of the calibration curves on Figures 2.1-1 through 2.1-4 have been revised to include a range to 2x108 Kev.

(2) Changes resulting in the relocation of a milk goat have been 4ncorporated. The new Radiological Environmental Monitoring Program location is 6B1 and is reflected in Table 5-5.

(3) Several tables in Section 3.1, which merely reprinted information available in Regulatory Guide 1.109 Rev. 1, have been deleted. )

(4) Tables 3.5-10 and 3.5-11 have been revised to correct  !

inconsistencies.

(5) The description of the interlaboratory comparison program in Section t 6 has been improved.  !

(6) Revision 1 to Regulatory Guide 1.109 is now reflected throughout the ODCM.
