Dear Mr. Keppler:

This letter addresses the completion of specific actions performed by the Toledo Edison Company (TED), Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 1 (DB-1). These items were identified in our September 13, 1983 submittal (Serial No. 986), and at our meeting with the audit team at the Phillips Building in Bethesda, Maryland on September 14, 1983.

Per Mr. Fred Maura's discussion of November 1,1983, with Jef f Haverly, Licensing Engineer, we are forwarding the attached documents to verify the completion of those items scheduled for November 1, 1983.

Following receipt of the Fire Protection Restart Safety Evaluation Report (Log No. 1375), specific tasks were identified for submittal to the Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) departmen't. Through discussions with our Project Manager, Mr. Al DeAgazio, it was identified that all other commit-ments will be verified through you and the Resident Inspector, Mr. Walt Rogers.

To aid you in your review effort, we are sending the necessary commitment completion verifications. The following documents are included:

Lecture Attendance Sheets documenting completion of hands-on Fire Extinguisher Training for Ffre Watch Personnel, performed in accord-ance with NFPA 51B. (Enclosure #1 - 2 pages)

- Issued Maintenance Procedure MP 1410.76, " Control, Maintenance, and Regulation of Transient Combustibles", issued November 1, 1983.
