50-328 Please refer to my letter to you dated December 27, 1982 which submitted a request for an amendment to facility operating licenses DPR-77 and DPR-79 for Sequoyah Nuclear Plant units 1 and 2 to authorize TVA to operate a volume reduction system to process low-level radioactive waste.
A number of changes have occurred since the December 1982 submittal which have significantly altered the need for the volume reduction system originally planned. We therefore withdraw our licensing submittal and request no fbrther review on TVA's volume reduction system.
The remittance of any unused review fees provided in accordance with 10 CFR 170.22 should be refbnded to TVA.
