Dear Mr. Youngblood:
Reference:
(1)
Enrico Fermi Atomic Power Plant, Unit 2 NRC Docket No. 50-341 (2)
Letter, Detroit Edison to NRC, EF2-61447, January 7, 1983, " Request for Exemption"
Subject:
Emergency Preparedness Exercise Detroit Edison has reconsidered the request made in its Reference (2) letter.
Recognizing the current situation and regulations, Detroit Edison will conduct a full-scale exercise in the second quarter of 1984.
As a consequence, the request in the reference (2) letter is hcreby withdrawn.
Discussions were held with FEMA Region V, NRC Region III and the State of Michigan regarding 1984 exercises.
Based on our schedule commitments and those of the other parties involved, it was decided that Fermi 2 will have a full-scale exercise June 27, 1984.
This time is acceptable to all parties, including Monroe County.
Assuming that this date will remain firm, Detroit Edison would like to extend an invitation to the NRC to partici-pate in this exercise.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. O. Keener Earle, (313) 586-4211.
Sincerely, f
'f, f
