Dear Mr. Denton:

Enclosed are six copies of LILCO's Amended Security Training and Qualification Plan, Revision 2, dated November 18, 1983. This Plan supersedes our previous submittal, Revision 1, dated May 18, 1981.

Revision 2 of the Training and Qualification Plan has been prepared to reflect changes required by this Applicant's Final Security Settlement Agreement with Suffolk County in security proceedings before the Atomic Safety and Licensing board (Docket No.

50-322-OL-2, ASLBP No. 82-478-05-OL). Additional changes have been made to clarify wording and the intent of commitments made in the Plan.

As the Security Training and Qualification Plan contains propri-etary informa* ion, the Company requests, pursuant to 10CFR 2.790 and 9.5, that de plan be accorded proprietary status and not placed in the Public Document Room.

Please note that our attached return receipt letter requests that you acknowledge receipt of the enclosed controlled documents.

Copies of the Training and Qualification Plan, Revision 1, should be returned to our Site Security Supervisor, Mr. R. Reen at the attached address.
