Vogt Electric Generating Plant - Units 1 and 2, 50 50-425; Quality of Welds and Radiographs Attention: Mr. James P. O'Reilly Gentlemen:
On October 27, 1983, Georgia Power Company reported a potential deficiency to the NRC concerning the quality af welds and radiographs.
Since this item was reported, Georgia-Power Company has contacted several vendors concerning the quality of their radiographs. These vendors are coming to the jobsite to review Georgia Power Company's concerns. Most of these concerns involve technique problems which should be easily resolved.
Until these vendor meetings are concluded, and an agreement on resolving these concerns is reached, Georgia Power Company.will not be able to fore-cast a final completion date for this issue. Georgia Power Company will submit an interim report on Feburary 24, 1984.
This letter contains no proprietary information and may be placed in the NRC Public Document Room upon receipt.
