Docket No. 50-482: Dynamic Rod Ucrth Measurement Gentlemen:
Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) plans to implement the Westinghouse Dynamic Rod Worth Measurement Technique at the Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS) during startup from the ne::t refueling outage.
The refueling outage is scheduled to begin in March 1996.
Westinghouse submitted WCAP-13360,
" Westinghouse Dynamic Rod Worth Measurement Technique" to the NRC in May 1992 and subsequently resubmitted this WCAP an a Cost Beneficial Licensing Action on June 17, 1994.
The use of the dynamic rod worth measurement technique at WCGS will save approximately 8 hours9.259259e-5 days <br />0.00222 hours <br />1.322751e-5 weeks <br />3.044e-6 months <br /> of critical path time during the startup of the plant.
Therefore, it is requested that the review of the Westinghouse WCAP be completed by October 31,
- 1995, to facilitate WCNOC's implementation of this rod worth measurement methodology.
