' UNIT NAME: Point Beach Unit 1-DATE: .

September 9, 1991 COMPLETED BY: D. C. Peterson TELEPHONE: (414)755-2321,-Ext. 361 Unit 1 operated at approximately 483 MWe net throughout this report period with no significant load reductions.

A reportable event in accordance with 10 CFR 50.73 (UER 91-010-00) was discovered on August 16, 1991, when it was determined that hydrogen monitors in both units powered from the

. white instrument bus had been operating with default calibration parameters for greater than 30 days. It was determined that the shift to the default calibration parameters occurred when the white instrument bus lost power on June 29, 1991. The monitors were immediately recalibrated and returned to service. This was a violation of Technical Specification Table 15.3.5-1, Item 10.

Safety-related maintenance included the following: replaced

, emergency diesel generator starting air bank solenoids, charged three individual station battery cells, replaced emergency diesel generator coolers, replaced high voltage power supply for nuclear power detector 1 N-43.
