Waterf ord 3 SES Docket No. 50-382 1.ieense No. NPF-38 inservice Testing (IST) Plan - Purnps and Valves, Revision 7, Change 1 Gentlemen:
Entergy Operations, Inc. hereby sulunits in Attaciunent 1, Revision 7 Change 1 of the Waterfoid 3 inservice Testing (IST) Plan. The IST Plan was revised in accordance with NRC Generic Letter 89-04, " Guidance on Developing Acceptable inservico Testing Prognuns", and contains numerous program changes and enhancements.
in addition, Revision 7, Change i of the Waterfoni 3 IST Plan contains specific relief rec:uests for deviations f rom the ASME Code IST requirements. The relief requests contained in the IST Plan include those which have already been approved by the NRC, those which are granted by the mechanism provided in NRC Generic Letter 89-04, and new or revised relief requests which require NltC approval prior to implementation. of this letter lists the reliet requests in Revision 7, Change 1 of the Waterford 3 IST Plan that require NRC approval prior to hnplementation.
Waterford 3 has scheduled March 1,1992, as the planned implementation date for Revision 7, Change 1 of the IST Plan, to allow the stalf approximately six months to review these relief requests. In the event that the time allowed for completion of the staff's review of relief requests is inadequate, it would be appreciated if you would notify us accordingly.
For your infornmtion, please note that Revision 7 of the IST Plan was prepared but not implemented at Waterford 3, and therefore was not submitted to the NRC.
Revision 7 of the IST Plan is maintained at Waterford 3 simply as a record of conversion between Revision G, Chaage 2 of the IST Plan and the attached A
version.
