Dear Mr. Stolz:
This letter is to confirm the agreement made between W.
M. Alden of the Philadelphia Electric Company and G. Gears and D.
Dassallo of the NRC during a telephone conversation November 28 with respect to Unit 2 primary system pipe repairs and replacement.
The commitment was that, at least one month prior to the startup af ter the end of the next refueling outage, a
justification for continued operation shall be submitted for NRC review and approval.
It is our understanding that this commitment will be made a part of the orders for the impending restart of Unit 2.
