Government 1-1 (IE Bulletin No. 83-06)
Dear Mr. Murley:
Our response to NRC I.E.Bulletin 83-06, due on November 18, 1983, is dependent upon Bechtel review of potential suppliers of Tube Line Corporation material, which will not be complete f or several weeks.
Bechtel Central Procurement has requested information from 413 equipment suppliers, fabricators, and material suppliers who may have received material from Tube Line Corp. At this time,160 responses have been returned to Bechtel with only one supplier, Guyon Alloys, Inc., indicating that they shipped Tube Line material to Limerick. Guyon Alloys, Inc.
has sent a list of those Tube Line materials which were shipped to the j obsite. The field has identified these items, and corrective action is being taken. No further work on NRC I.E.Bulletin 83-06 can be done until Bechtel Central Procurement gets responses from the remaining 253 suppliers.
General Electric Company has completed their work on I.E.Bulletin 83-06 with the result that no defective Tube Line material was used for Limerick.
