In our previous correspondence on this issue, Georgia Power Company committed to submit an interim report by November 18, 1983. At this time, the hangers in safety-related areas are still being inspected. Approximately two-hundred hangers remain to be inspected. Nonconformance reports will be used to identify any discrepancies and will also be sent to engineering for evaluation and disposition.
It is estimated that the pipe hanger reinspection will be completed in January,1984. Georgia Power Company will advise the NRC by February 3,1984 of the schedule for the completion of the engineering evaluation.
