Operating License No. DPR 50 Docket No. 50-289 Twentieth Year Reactor Building Tendon Surveillance Test In accordance with TMI-1 Technical Specifications (TS) 4.4.2.1.6.a, enclosed is the-report, "Three Mile Island Unit 1 Reactor Building Twenty Year Tendon Surveillance'(Inspection Period 6)," Topical Report (TR) No. 093. The TR includes the two-volume contractor (Precision Surveillance Corp.) report entitled "20th Year Physical Surveillance of the Three Mile Island Unit 1 Containmtmt Building."
- Our evaluation of the.results from tests and inspections conducted 20 years after the initial Structural Integrity Test (SIT) demonstrate that the TMI-1 Reactor Buildhg post tensioning system is in good condition and capable of performing its, intended futiction during all ~ design basis events. The functionai capability of the system remains within design limits and no abnormal relaxation of prestressing forces in the tendons has occurred.
