'By letter dated December 5, 1989, (Serial Number 1728) Toledo Edison (TE) requested-the subject exemption-from 10CFR Part 20 to. allow credit
-for a radiciodine protection factor for air purifying respirators to be used at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (DBNPS). Toledo Edison's letter dated July 12, 1991 (Serial Number 1953) provided additional information to support NRC review and regrasted NRC approval by September _1,-1991.
As result of-a telephone call-vith the NRC staff, Toledo Edison-revises the proposed conditions, limitations and restrictions on the use_of Mine Safety Appliance Company (MSA) GMR-I canisters to include the following:
- Canisters vill be used with a full facepiece~ proven capable of providing the individual viih a fit-factor greater than 500 by a quantitative respirator fit test.
' Training of workers on the. proper use and the limitations of the
' GMR-I' canisters vill be' performed prior to canister issuance.
