Dear Sirs:
- l In past revisions c,f the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS), Units 2 and 3, and
{ ' Limerick Generating Station (LGS), Units 1 and 2. Updated Final Safety Analysis Reports ] (UFSARs) the submittal packages included a substantial number of UFSAR figures which are exact reproductions of PECO Energy controlled drawings. These drawings, which cor.8 cf general plant arrangements, electrical single line diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams, arul j functional diagrams, are part of the current licensing and plant design basis and are revised and a maintained under other PECO Energy Company approved processes. These PECO Energy ~ controlled drawings were originally provided as figures with the Final Safety Analysis Reports - -{ j (FSARs) to support the written description of the faculties or to depict the results of transient or - accident analyses in support of initial plant licensing for PBAPS and LGS. The UFSAR figures have been updated when required with each PBAPS and LGS UFSAR revision submittal. 1 -1 To reduce the administrative costs associated with processing revisions to the PBAPS and LGS UFSARs, PECO Energy will no longer update any UFSAR figures that are an exact reproduction of a PECO Energy controlled drawing in any future UFSAR revision submittal; however, PECO Energy stHI considers these drawings to be part of the Safety Analysis Report (SAR), and ~ therefore, any changes to these drawings will continue to be govemed by NRC regulations stipulated in 10 CFR 50.59,." Changes, Tests and Experiments." Any changes to the information on these drawings wil still be evaluated under the 50.59 process. All PBAPS and LGS UFSAR j figures that have been created from reproduced PECO Energy controlled drawings wil be' identified as " Historical Information" with a note to refer to the most current revision of the cege.panding PECO Energy drawing in the next revision of each UFSAR.
