The subject request was submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission by Public Service Electric and Gas Company on January i

This amendment revises Surveillance Requirement I
4.1.3.1.2.b, which applies when a control rod is immovable because of excessive friction or mechanical interference.
The other l
control rods shall be tested within twenty four hours and every seven days thereafter as opposed to the current requirement of i
testing every twenty four hours.
