In response to Generic Letter (G.L.) 88-17, " Loss of Decay llent Removal,"
Alabama Power Company provided a description of the plant hardware modifications necessary for mid-loop operation in a letter dated December 7, 1989.
In this letter a commitment was made to complete the described hardware changes during the Unit I tenth and Unit 2 seventh refueling outages.
In a letter dated April 17, 1991 the NRC concurred with this schedule and requested notification upon completion of the hardware modifications.
Alabama Power Company has completed implementation of all other modifications described in the December 7, 1989 letter for both Units 1 and 2.
