Dear Dr. Murley:
i The USNRC letter of March 10, 1983, forwarded I.E.
Bulletin 83-03, " Check Valve Failures in Raw Water Cooling Systems of Diesel Generators".
The Bulletin requested licensees.
to submit a report to the NRC within 90 days of completion of the-initial valve integrity verification required by the Bulletin.
In accordance with the Bulletin', Philadelphia Electric Company, Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, revised'the appropriate surveillance test procedures as noted in-the i
referenced response.
The check valves were tested successfully on October 19, 1983, per the revised test procedures and performed their intended function.
