In out. letter to Mr. Boyce H. Grier, Director, dated June 17, 1980, BVPS-2 responded to IE Bulletin No. 80-09.

That res ponse is technically a

correct except for the statements made in the third paragraph.

In the second sentence of that paragraph, the identification of the s teel.. type has been reversed.

The sentence should read as follows :

"The material (type 1060-1070 steel) has a lower design strength than the type 5160 steel originally specified by ITT-GC." Documentation to suppo rt this.
