H-4-1/2-79-12 Shared Diesel Generator Local Control Description This modification provides control of the 1/2 Diesel Generator from the 1/2 Diesel Generator room. There is a transfer switch which enables the separation of the Diesel Generator electrical controls in the Control Room from those in the Diesel Generator room when the switch is in the
" local control" position. This will ensure faults in the Control Room cables or connecting control cabling-will not influence the Diesel Generator operation.
This installation is-part of-Supplement I of the Fire Protection Safe Shutdown Analysis.
Evaluation The local control' feature for the 1/2 Diesel Generator will increase the availability of the equipnent by being able to operate the equipnent in the e tent of a fire.in the Control Room, Cable Tunnel, or Auxiliary Electric' Equipnent room.. The emergency' auto-start feature of the Diesel Generator remains unchanged. The ability to provide emergency AC' power is thus increased.
