Report" for the years 1987, 1988 and 1989. This addendum consists of safety evaluations perforned in accordance with 10 CFR 50.59 tb.t had been inadvertently omitted from the referenced reports.

As specified in the NRC Regulations at 10 CFR 50.59(b)(2),

licensees are required to submit an annual report to the NRC.

describing all changes made to the facility under the provisions of 10 CPR 50.59 and include a summary of the safety evaluation of each change. We have provided this information on an annual basis as part of our " Annual Results and Data Report" in accordance with Point Beach Technical Specification 15.6.9.1.B.2.c. During an audit of the 10 CFR 50.59 process at Point Beach Nuclear Plant conducted by our Quality Assurance Section in 1990, we discovered that the annual reports for the years 1987, 1988, and 1989 did not contain all the safety evaluation-report summarios conducted during those periods. Specifically, it appeared that safety evaluations done for some temporary modifications, Spare Parts Equivalency Evaluation Documents (SPEEDS), as well as many miscellaneous safety evaluations, had not been included in these annual reports. In response to thic audit finding we committed to providing the NRC with an addendum to the subject annual reports with the appropriate safety evaluation summaries. We have also revised our method of identification of those safety evaluation summaries which must be included in the annual report so that those summaries will not be missed in the future.
