NOTE: Security Shift Supervisors and Assistant Security Shi_ft Supervisors may only administer certification evaluations, certify and decertify subordinates.

5.3.2

' Shall advise the Jecurity Training staff of any security personnel who fail a crucial secuifty task evaluation. In addition, appropriate training and/or crucial task certification records shall be annotated.

5.3.3 Whenever the Security Shift Supervisor / Assistant is the certifying official, they shall notify the Security Training staff of the following:

a.

Name of the individual b.

Crucial security tasks successfully completed c.

Date certified 5.3.4 Advise the Manager Nuclear Security and Security Training Supervisor of security personnel who are medically and/or psychologically disqualified as determined by medical authorities.

5.4 Security personnel are responsible for complying with pertinent portions of this procedure.

6.0 PROCEDLRE 6.1 Certification evaluations may be announced or unannounced.

6.2 When necessary, other plant personnel and agencies shall be advised prior to initiating a simulated security exercise in order to preclude unnecessary response or personnel / agency notifications.

6.2.1 The scenario will commence with notification to appropriate parties "This is a drill *,

6.2.2 All simulated explosive devices will be clearly marked " simulated".

6.3 Any actual security emergency, contingency, or safety reason which occurs shall be cause for immediate termination of the simulated security exercise.

6.4 Certification evaluations shall be administered in conjunction with identified crucial tasks.

6.4.1 Crucial Security Tasks may be evaluated through one or more of the following methods:

Hands-on participative exercises / performance cbservation certification.

Written / oral certification tests. Written tests / certifications will only be administered / proctored by the Security Training

Successful task performance during an actual security situation or security program audit test.

1 6.4.2 Evaluations may be conducted while on the job or during scheduled training days.

6.4.3 Weapons qualification / evaluation shall be conducted on the firing range during scheduled training days.

6.5 Hore than one individual may be evaluated at one time.

6.6 Scoring method 6.6.1 Hands-on participative exercise / practical test a.

Individuals will be awarded a " pass" or " fail".

b.

Omission of designated key steps or failure to meet the objective of the task including time limits, will result'in failure.

6.6.2 Written tests: minimum passing score is 80 percent.

6.6.3 If more than one evaluation is used, a passing score on each evaluation method must be obtained.

t 6.6.4 Successful task performance during an actual security situation or security program audit test which is directly observed by a certifying official may be reflected as an authorized certification.

6.6.5 Weapons Qualification a.

Day Qualification (1)

Handgun - qualifying score shall be an accumulated total of 70 percent of the maximum obtainable score.

(2)

Rifle qualifying score shall be an accumulated total of 80 percent of the maximum obtainable score.

(3)

Shotgun qualifying score shall be an accumulated total of 70 percent of the maximum obtainable score.

b.

Night Qualification (1)

Handgun qualifying score shall be an accumulated total of 70 percent of the maximum obtainable score.
