SUBJECT:
Submittal Required by 10CFR50.64(c)(2)(ii) with Respect to Federal Funding for Conversion The University of Missouri Reseamh Reactor (MURR) has applied for a unique purpose exemption pursuant to 10CFR50.64(c)(1) in a letter dated September 26,1986. This apphcation, plus additional supporting information is currently under review by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Since this rev:ew process is ongoing, the MURR is complying with 10CFR50.64(c)(2)(ii) by submitting a copy of the Department of Energy letter to MURR, dated March 15,1995, notifying the licensee that fedeml funds for conversion of our reactor will not be available during Fiscal Year 1995.
This submittal and attachment constitutes MURR's response for Fiscal Year 1995. The MURR will respond again prior to March 27,1996, as per 10CFR50.64(c)(2), unless a determination is made by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission that our facility should be granted a unique purpose exemption.

In accordance with 10 CFR Part 50.64, " Limitations on the Use of Highly Enriched Uranium in Domestic Non-Power Reactors," you are hereby notified that Federal funding for conversion of your reactor to low enrichment uranium fuel will not be available during Fiscal Year 1995.
You will be notified in the event these circumstances change.
