- 1) ULNRC-2220, Dated June 4, 1990 Furnished herewith for your review and approval is a copy of updated pages which constitute Revision 14 of the Callaway Plant Operating Quality Assurance Manual (OQAM). Pursuant to the _ requirements of 10CFR50.54 (a) - and 10CFR50.71(e) (3) (1),
the OQAM has been revised to incorporate changes to the Op9 rating Quality Assurance Program (OQAP) description made
'since the last docketed revision transmitted by Reference 1.
In addition to the OQAM, Rev.sion 14 updated pages, please
-find enclosed one copy each of the following:
1.
OQAM (Revision 14)< mark-up, identifying changes through the use of inserts and strikeovers.
2.
Explanations and justifications for changes to the OQAM.
The changes have been evaluated by Union Electric. There is one change (identified as Item 6 on Attachment 3) which could be interpreted as a lessening of commitment. We believe the proposed change will be more effective in assuring timely procedure updates than the present two-year review cycle. Because of the nature of this change, we believe.it should receive your: approval. prior to imp 22menta-tion. The other changes are not considered reductions in the OQAM commitments previously accepted by the NRC. The revised OQAM continues to satisfy the requirements of 10CFR50, Appendix B.
