Procedures Used For Final Survey of Repower Area

Dear Mr. Weber:
In the referenced letter, Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo) submitted the Final Survey Report for the Repower Area at Fort St. Vrain. To simplify your review and approval of this report, PSCo will provide the NRC with copies of all of the procedures used to perform the survey and prepare the report. However, some of the information contained in these procedures is considered proprietary by PSCo's contractors. PSCo will therefore formally transmit these procedures with a request that they be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 2.790.
In the interim, PSCo is providing working copies of these procedures to Mr. David Fauver of your staff and, by copy of this letter, to Mr. Eric Ablequis' of the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE), to support their preparation for the confirmatory survey. Per conversation with Mr. Fauver, we understand that these working procedure copies will be withheld from public disclosure and will be returned to PSCo after receipt of our formal submittal.
