SUBJECT:

Evacuation Time Estimates for Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station The U.S. Nuclear Regulutory Commission (NRC) in a January 20, 1984, memorandum to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEFL), requested further review of an issue related to the evacuation time estimate (ETE) for the population at risk near the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station.

On or before April, 2 1984, FEMA shall transmit to NRC a proposal as to how it intends to respond to the NRC request for assistance. The proposal will include a work program, an estimate of the resources needed to support the work program, and a schedule as to when major components of the program can be completed.
