SUBJECT:
Waterford SES Unit No. 3 Docket No. 50-382 Significant Construction Deficiency No. 82
" Bent Control Element Assembly Rods" Third Interim Report The above referenced letter indicated submittal of a Final Report to the USNRC on or before October 14, 1983.
The 16 CEA's returned to Combustion Engineering have been evaluated, reworked and returned to Waterford SES Unit No. 3.
These CEA's are scheduled to be receipt inspected and stored in fuel assemblies during the week of October 17, 1983. The applicable discrepancy notice will be closed upon satisfactory receipt inspection.
Following storage of the above CEA's,all full length, 5 finger CEA's will be reinspected and drag tested by LP&L and witnessed by Combustion Engineerlag.
Descrepancy Notice No. 1089-83 (against all CEA's) will be closed upon a satisfactory final acceptance inspection, to be performed by LP&L and CE inspectors.
A Final Report will be submitted to the USNRC on January 15, 1984.
