Prior to being given this assignment, I have never worked on any job or task associated with the Midland Project, or any job or task fc." or on behalf of Consumers Power Company or Bechtel relating to issues that I will be re-viewing.

I have never been employed by Consumers Power Company or Bechtel.

As QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER, assigned to the Construction Implementation Overview Group. Mr. Zizak was responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of the Constructicn Completion Program. Evaluation of predetermined procedures and instructions, and quality practices utilized in the construction of the Midland Plant Units 1, 2 and the effectiveness of those practices.

As QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER at Marble Hill Nuclear Generating Station, responsible for the hiring, supervisors and inspectors. Manager over five (5) supervisors and up to one hundred and ten (110) inspectors. Cherne was a mechanical con-tractor at the Marble Hill Site working the Containments, Auxiliaries, and Turbine buildings for Units 1 and 2. We were responsible for inspection of piping, component support, instrumentation, receiving, equipment installation, and NDE examinations. In July of 1983, Cherne Contracting Corporation did obtain the ASME certificate of authorization for NA and NPT stamp. No violations or findings were identified in the Quality Control department by the ASME rep-resentative, State of Indiana, or NRC personnel from the day Mr. Zizak was hired in. Act as Project QA Manager at the time when the Project QA Manager was absent from the Marble Hill Job-site.
