Dear Sir:

On July 19, 1983, the updated Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) for Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station was submitted in campliance with 10CFR50.71(e). In this submittal we outlined our intention to submit an update of Chapter 14 and Appendix G detailing Combustible Gas Control as a potential special event. We have decided to defer incorporation of Combustible Gas Control into Chapter 14 and Appendix G until we can evaluate the Owners Group Report (Reference 2).

Attachment A to this letter contains a list of errors identified since our last submittal of July 19,.1983. These pages will be corrected with our Revision 4 submittal due no later than July 22, 1984.
