Docket Nos. 50-352 and 50-353 Gentlemen:
During the-course of preparation for the upcoming hearing
'regarding. structural' response of safety related structures to postulated ~ pipeline explosions, it was determined that it was theoretically possible to exceed.the pressures presented
.in. Applicant's testimony.
This was only identified late last Friday, February 24, 1984, and only confirmed yesterday, February
.27, 1984, after' working through the weekend.
While the ultimate
' conclusions of the testimony have not changed, it was necessary
_to' revise the testimony to fully discuss this matter.
The revised testimony is being delivered to Mr. Anthony, representative of.F0E, today and will be delivered to the Board
'and;-Staff early tomorrow.
The revised-testimony was discussed with.the NRC Staff today.
' Calculations supporting the revised testimony will be made available to Mr. Anthony at the document room which he 13 scheduled to visit tomorrow.
Additional naterial previously requested.by Mr. Anthony regarding the structural d6 sign of the cooling' towers, duct banks, RHR.and Emergency Service Water piping, and strength of concrete for the reactor and diesel M 0 000352 PDR
