TECHNICAL QUESTION SCHEDULE 1

Your letters dated August 4, 1983 and August 10, 1983 (A. Schwencer, URO to R. L. Mittl, PSE&G) indicated that PSE&G would roceive all 5 plests for additional information generated by your safety review by the end of August 1983D Although the bulk of the safety review questions have been received in accordance with the August date, two major FSAR Chapters are still under your review. As of this date we have not received technical safety review questions on Chapter 7, " Instrumentation end Controls", and Chapter 8, " Electric Power". -

In order to support the February 21, 1984 draft SER date, we would like to propose the following schedule for the balance of the safety' review questions, particularly the Chapter 7 and 8 requests. If PSE&G were to receive the initial safety review questions on Chapters 7 and 8 by ,

late October,1983; we could meet with the NRC staff reviewers to discuss the questions within two weeks of receipt of the review requests. If ,

these [ safety review questions are then finalized by November 11, 1983, PSE&G could have the responses transmitted to the NRC by January 10, 1984 (60 days). ,
