D. L. Farrar letter to J. G. Keppler dated December 30, 1983.
Dear Mr. Keppler:
In response to phone conversations with Mr. Naidu during the week of January 23, 1984, the following additional information is provided relative to Noncompliance (50-374/83-36-01).
In addition to the response provided in the referenced letter, the vendor has forwarded a letter to Commonwealth Edison Company stating that to the best of his knowledge the dielectric tests were performed but were not properly documented.
Moreover, LaSalle County Station operations personnel perform a periodic surveillance of the subject equipment to check for equipment condition and to complete specified. tests.
This surveillance provides additional back-up monitoring o' equipment perform-ance, and to date have proven satisfactory.
We hope this additional infomation will clarify any quesitons relative to the noncompliance.
To the best of my knowledge and belief the statements contained herein and in the attachment are true and correct.
In some respects these statements are not based on my personal knowledge but upon informa-tion furnished by other Commonwealth Edison and contractor employees.
Such information has been reviewed in accordance with Company practice i
and I believe it to be reliable.
