Dear Mr. Stolz:
Under separate cover, we aTo transmitting three (3) orig'.nal and forty (40) canformed copies of an application for Amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-3 for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1.
This application requests that the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit 1 Technical Specifications, Appendix A, be revised to reflect the changes attached. The proposed changes involve:
Technical Specifications contained in Cycle 4 Reload Report BAW-1783, Revision 1, October, 1983.
The attached revised heload Report is for the withdrawal of the Axial Power Shaping Rods (APSR) and coastdown at the end of Cycle 4.
This part of the Reload Report was nct completed when Cycle 4 report was submitted and approved for the current cycle. The current operation of Davis-Besse projects the need for this Reload Report to be issued by June 6, 1984.
This amendment request involves a change of Class III type. Enclosed is a check for $4,000 as requcsted by 10CFR170.22.
