In the above referenced letter, Georgia Power Company cannitted to motify the NRC of the results of our evaluation by February 17, 1984.
- Georgia Power Company has completed its review and evaluation of the
' embed plate base metal failure event and has concluded that this is an isolated event that is not reportable pursuant to the requirements of c
10 CFR 50.55 (e) and 10 CFR 21.
4 Even though the original event related to the separation of a non-safety related pipe support from its embed plate, Georgia Power Company investigated this event due to the potential that a similar situation could exist on safety related supports and embed plates.
Based on a i
sampling of the installed plates and supports, this was concluded to be an isolated event and therefore not reportable.
