Dear Mr. Keppler:

Reference (a) Action Item 5 requested that the Commonwealth Edison Company provide, within ninety (90) days of completion of Action Item 3, a written report of inspection results.

We have completed Action Item 3 for Quad Cities Unit 2.

The Unit 1/2 Diesel Generator Cooling Water Pump (DGCWP) discharge check valve 1-3999-85 was inspected during a maintenance outage on September 16, 1983. The valve was found free to swing to the fully open and fully closed positions. The valve was not replaced. The DGCWP was tested for operability prior to unit startup.
