Dear Mr. Russell:
This letter provides a summary description ofIES Utilities Inc. plans for implementing vehicle control measures at the Duane Arnold Energy Center (DAEC) in accordance with 10 CFR 73.55(c)(7), and the results of our comparison of that plan with the Commission's design goals, as required in 10 CFR 73.55(c)(8). to this letter provides the information required in 10 CFR 73.55(c). to this letter is a site drawing depicting the arrangement of the planned active and passive vehicle barriers for additional clarity.
The following new commitments are made'in this letter.
- 1. Vehicle barriers (passive and active) will be installed at the DAEC to comply with 10 CFR 73.55(c)(7) by February 29,1996.
- 2. A Security Plan Change will be processed to incorporate the vehicle control measures at the time that they are installed.
