Response to 10CFR73 Rule, " Protection Against Malevolent :
Use of Vehicles at Nuclear Power Plants' Dear Sir; On August 1,1994, the NRC lasued Final Rule 10CFR73,
- Protection Against Malevolent Use of Vehicles at Nuclear Power Plants," which amended the NRC's reguistions concoming the design bacis threat for radiological sabotage to include the use of a land vehicle by adversaries for-transporting personnel and their hand-carried equipment to the proximity of vital areas, and to
' include a land vehicle bomb. 10CFR73.55(c)(9)(i) requires that licensees submit a summary descriptbn of the proposed vehicle control measures and the results of the vehicle bomb comparison as stipulated in 10CFR73.55(c)(7) and 10CFR73.55(c)(8), respectively, by February 28,1995.. Enclosed is the required " Summary Description
- for Limerick Generating Station (LGS), Units 1 and 2. The ' Summary Description".does not contain Safeguards Information.
