Dear Administrative Judges:

In Licensee's February 6, 1984 motion for a protective order, we noted that deliberations with Babcock & Wilcox were continuing in an effort to minimize the amount of information deemed to be proprietary, and thus reduce the amount of information to be covered by the requested protective order.

One of the affidavits submitted pertained to Reference Documents 1-10, 12, 19-22 and 27. A protective order was sought for those documents in their entirety. We have since been able to identify parts of those documents which do not require proprietary protection, with the exception of No. 27 which remains proprietary in its entirety. I In addition, we have been able to identify certain information in Topical Report 008, Rev. 3, which no longer requires proprietary treatment. Enclosed please find substitute pages 25-28, 34-35, 38-43, 45-47, 52-53, and Fig. 1-4 of that document, which identify the narrowed extent of the proprietary information, along with the corresponding affidavit of f James H. Taylor.
