The following information is submitted in clarification of our response dated February 10, 1984 to questions for exemption to 10CFR20,

Revised Response:
Degasification Normal shutdown procedures require degasification of the RCS by venting the pressurizer vapor space. This process removes and reduces radioactive gas concen-trations including iodine.
Change:
Reference to reactor vessel head venting was removed.
Head venting was inaccurately referred to as a normal shutdown evolution. Although this procedure is still available for use, it is not routinely practiced for operational considerations.
