[,. VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT - UNITS 1 & 2 1994 ANNUAL REPORT PART 1 INTRODUCTION The Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 1 and 2 are powered by pressurized water reactors, each rated at 3565 megawatts thermal. It is located on the Savannah River in Burke County Georgia, at a site ,

34 miles southeast of Augusta. The Unit 1 operating license was initially received on January 16,1987 and Commercial Operation started on May 31,1987. Unit 1 is in its sixth fuel cycle. Unit 2 received its ;

initial operating license on February 9,1989, and began commercial operation on May 19,1989. Unit 2 is currently in its fourth refueling outage.

I VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT- UNITS 1 & 2 1994 ANNUAL REPORT- PART 1 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 6.8.1.2b REPORT OF PRIMARY COOLANT'S EXCESSIVE SPECIFIC ACTIVITY There were no instances of Units 1 or 2 exceeding the dose equivalent iodine limits or the total specific activity limits, as specified in Technical Specifications, Section 3.4.8, during 1994.

.- II C VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT- UNITS 1 & 2 1994 ANNUAL REPORT- PART I TECHNICAL SPECIFICATJON 6.8.1.2e REPORT OF LEAKAGES GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO 0.005 MICROCURIES As required by Technical Specifications Section 3.7.9, leak tests were performed on sealed sources with activity greater than 100 microcuries of beta and/or gamma, or 5 microcuries of alpha radiation. The test results revealed less than 0.005 microcuries of removable contamination or leakage.
