Totai Suspended So1 ids, 15 mg/1 NONCCMPLIANCE, DATE, AND DURATION: 31 mg/l Total Suspended Solids, 23 Aug 83, Unknown CAUSE OF NONCCMPLIANCE: The equa1ization tank mixer which had not been run ror s Eeral montns was allowed to run prior to collection of the composite sample on 23 Aug 83 This suspended the solids that had settled in the bottom of the tank during the time the mixer had not run and caused the total sus-pended solids concentration to exceed the 15 mg/l 14PDES permit 1imit.

CCRRECTIVE ACTION: The equalization tank mixer was shut off.

Use of the mixer will be closely monitored in the future.

The wastewater treatment facility effluent total suspended solids concentration was back within the TIPDES permit Iimit by 25 Aug 83.
