Summary Description for Protection Against Malevolent Use of Vehicles at Cooper Nuclear Station Gentlemen:
Enclosed herein is the Nebraska Public Power District's submittal of a " Summary Description for Protection Against Malevolent Use of Vehicles at Cooper Nucl x Station".
The new 10 CFR 73.55 (c) (7) requires each licensee to establish vehicle control measures, including vehicle barriers, to protect against the use of a commission specified land vehicle as a means of transportation to gain unauthorized proximity to vital areas. Also,10 CFR 73.55 (c) (8) requires each licensee to compare the vehicle control measures to the Commission's design goals and criteria for protection against a land vehicle bomb.
The enclosed summary report complies to the new amendments to 10 CFR Part 73.
In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 73.71, we request the attached report be treated as Safeguards Information and withheld from public disclosure.
